GENERAL INTENSIVE CARE
General Intensive Care Unit is there to give people who are seriously ill round the clock care and monitoring, using the most advanced technology operated by highly trained specialists and a team of dedicated IC nurses.
Many admissions are patients who have just come out from the operating theatre, or emergency cases.
Patients have one-to-one or one-to-two care from a nurse, and the unit prides itself on its highly trained multi-disciplinary team. Physiotherapists, dietitians, consultants, nurses and administrative staff all work together to deliver a high level of care to the international patients.
Among the General ICU’s advanced technology and equipment are:
Inhalers
Advanced technology heart, blood circulation and respiration monitors and devices
Infusion pumps
Heart pumps
Feeding pumps
Automatically adjustable bed systems that position patients to prevent back injuries in patients hospitalized for a long time
Fireproof and antimicrobial environment and furnishing
Individual patient cooling and heating devices
Laboratory measuring devices at each bed, for instant metabolic monitoring.
The aim is to get patients well and stable enough so they can be moved to a less intensive care environment
