General Introduction
For a healthy adulthood, psychological problems should be prevented before they occur in childhood and adolescence, and if there is a psychiatric illness, it should be treated correctly.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is of critical importance for the individual to lead a healthy life when he/she reaches adulthood, to be a self-confident person, and to treat permanent psychiatric diseases that are larger and difficult to treat in the early period. Compared to the past, the scope, social activity and needs of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry field are expanding very rapidly in our country and in the world. Since it is a very wide-ranging field, it is in direct interaction with all biological, sociological and psychological branches of science.
