General Introduction

Audiology is a branch of science that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders.

The most basic goal of the science of audiology is to detect hearing and balance losses at the earliest stage and to ensure that the appropriate rehabilitative approach is exhibited as soon as possible.

Audiologists are people who, within the scope of their education and knowledge, identify hearing and balance disorders, apply and follow up appropriate hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices within the scope of rehabilitation, and perform the rehabilitation of individuals with auditory education approaches, especially in infants and children, when necessary.
